Genesis 42

1 and Jacob is seeing that there is victuals in Egypt; and Jacob is saying to his sons: to what you are seeing yourselves? 2 and he is saying: behold, I heard that there is victuals in Egypt! Go down there ward! And purchase for us from there! And we shall live and not die. 3 and ten brothers of Joseph are going down to purchase of cereal from Egypt. 4 and Benjamin, brother of Joseph, not Jacob sent with his brothers; that he said: lest mishap shall meet him. 5 and sons of Israel are coming to purchase; in midst of the ones coming; that the famine became in land Canaan. 6 and Joseph the authority over the land, he the one retailing to all people of the land; and brothers of Joseph are coming and bowing themselves down to him, nostrils earth ward. 7 and Joseph is seeing his brothers, and recognizing them; and making himself foreign to them; and speaking with them obstinate, and saying to them: from where you come? And they are saying: from land Canaan, to purchase food. 8 and Joseph is recognizing his brothers; and they not recognized him. 9 and Joseph is remembering the dreams, which he dreamed to them; and he is saying to them: ones spying you, to see nakedness of the land you came. 10 and they are saying to him: not, my lord; and your servants came to purchase food. 11 all us sons of one man; we established ones; your servants not are spying ones. 12 and he is saying to them: not, that nakedness of the land you came to see. 13 and they are saying: your two ten servants, brothers we; sons of one man in land Canaan; and, behold, the small one with our father the day; and the one, there is no him. 14 and Joseph is saying to them: it which I spoke to you to say: ones spying you. 15 in this you shall be tested: life of Pharaoh, should not be you are going forth from here, except only in: to come of your brother, the small one, hither. 16 send one from you and he shall take your brother; and you: be bound, and your words shall be tested (the truth with you), and if not: life of Pharaoh; that ones spying you! 17 and he is gathering them to ward three days. 18 and Joseph is saying to them in the third day: this do and live! I fearing one the Elohim. 19 if established ones you, your one brother shall be bound in house of ward; and you go! Bring victuals of famine of your households! 20 and your brother, the small one, you shall bring to me; and your words shall be faithful, and you shall not die; and they are doing so. 21 and man to his brother are saying: verily, guilty we on our brother, whom we saw distress of his soul, in to his supplicate to us, and not we listened; on so this distress came to us. 22 and Reuben is answering them, to say: not I said to you? To say: must not be, you are sinning in boy; and not you listened; and moreover his blood, behold, being required! 23 and not they knew, that Joseph hearing; that the one translating between them. 24 and he is turning around from on them; and weeping; and returning to them, and speaking to them; and taking Simeon from with them; and binding him to their eyes. 25 and Joseph is instructing, and they are filling their cereal vessels; and to return their silvers, man to his sack; and to give provision to them for way; and he is doing so to them. 26 and they are lifting up their victuals on their donkeys and going from there. 27 and the one is opening his sack in lodging, to give provender to his donkey, and seeing his silver; and, behold, in mouth of his bag! 28 and he is saying to his brothers: silver of me was returned; and moreover, behold, in my bag! And their heart is going forth; and they are trembling, man to his brother, to say: what this Elohim does to us? 29 and they are coming to Jacob, their father; land ward Canaan; and telling to him all the ones befalling them, to say: 30 the man, lords of the land, spoke obstinate with us; and he is giving us as ones spying the land. 31 and we are saying to him: established ones we; not we are ones spying. 32 two ten brothers we, sons of our father; the one, there is no him; and the small one the day with our father in land Canaan. 33 and the man, lords of the land, is saying to us: in this I shall know, that established ones you; your brother, the one, leave with me! And famine of your households take! And go! 34 and bring your brother, the small one, to me; and I shall know, that not spying you, that established you; your brother I shall give to you, and the land you shall be merchants. 35 and it is becoming, they emptying their sacks; and, behold, man pouch of his silver in his sack! And they are seeing pouches of their silvers; and their father and they are fearing. 36 and Jacob, their father is saying to them: me you bereaved Joseph there is no him, and Simeon there is no him, and Benjamin you shall take on me they become all them. 37 and Reuben is saying to his father, to say: two of my sons you shall put to death, if not I am bringing him to you; give him on my hand! And I shall bring him back to you. 38 and he is saying: not my son shall go down with you; that his brother is dead; and he to alone of him remaining; and mishap meets him in way which you shall go, and you bring down my grey hairs in affliction unseen ward.
