Genesis 37

1 and Jacob is dwelling in land of sojournings of his father, in land of Canaan. 2 these genealogical annals of Jacob; Joseph, son of seven ten years, became grazing with his brothers in flock, and he lad with sons of Bilhah and sons of Zilpah, women of his father; and Joseph is bringing their evil muttering to their father. 3 and Israel loved Joseph from all his sons; that he son of old ages to him; and made for him tunic of distinction. 4 and his brothers are seeing that their father loved him from all his brothers; and they are hating him; and not were able to speak of him to peace. 5 and Joseph is dreaming dream; and telling to his brothers; and they are adding further to hate him. 6 and he is saying to them: hear, please, this dream which I dreamed! 7 and, behold, we ones compressing stooks in midst of the field! And, behold, my stook rose, and moreover is stationed; and, behold, they are surrounding, your stooks, and bowing themselves down to my stook. 8 and his brothers are saying to him: to reign you shall reign over us, or to rule you shall rule in us? And they are adding further to hate him on his dreams, and on his words. 9 and he is dreaming still another dream; and relating him to his brothers; and he is saying: behold, I dreamed further dream! And, behold, the sun and the moon and one ten stars bowing themselves down to me! 10 and he is relating to his father, and to his brothers; and his father is rebuking him, and saying to him: what this dream, which you dreamed ? To come we shall come, I and your mother and your brothers, to bow down to you earth ward? 11 and they are being jealous in him his brothers; and his father kept the word. 12 and they are going, his brothers, to graze flock of their father in Shechem. 13 and Israel is saying to Joseph: not your brothers ones grazing in Shechem? Go! And I shall send you to them; and he is saying to him: behold, me! 14 and he is saying to him: go, please, see well being of your brothers and well being of the flock! And return me word! And he is sending him from vale of Hebron; and he is coming Shechem ward. 15 and man is finding him; and, behold, one straying in field! And he is asking him, the man, to say: what you are seeking? 16 and he is saying: I seeking my brothers! tell you, please, to me! Whereat they grazing? 17 and the man is saying: they journeyed from here; that I heard ones saying: we shall go Dothan ward; and Joseph is going after his brothers; and he is finding them in Dothan. 18 and they are seeing him from afar; and in ere he is coming near to them, and are plotting to put him to death, him. 19 and they are saying, man to his brother: behold, possessor of this dreams comes! 20 and now: go, and we shall kill him! And we shall fling him in one of the cisterns; and say: evil animal devoured him; and we shall see. What they shall become, his dreams? 21 and Reuben is hearing; and rescuing him from their hand; and saying: not we shall smite soul. 22 and he is saying to them, Reuben: must not be you are shedding blood; fling him to this cistern, which in wilderness! And he is tearing his garments. 30 and he is returning to his brothers and saying: the boy, there is no him; and I, whither I coming? 31 and they are taking tunic of Joseph, and slaying one hairy of goats, and dipping the tunic in blood. 32 and they are sending tunic of the distinctions, and bringing to their father, and saying: this we found; identify, please, she the tunic of your son or not! 33 and he is recognizing her and saying: tunic of my son; evil animal devoured him, to tear to pieces; Joseph is torn to pieces. 34 and Jacob is tearing his garments, and placing sackcloth in his waists, and mourning over his son many days. 35 and all his sons are arising, and all his daughters, to console him; and he is refusing to be consoled; and saying that: I shall go down to my son mourning unseen ward; and his father is lamenting him. 36 and the Medanites sold him to Egypt, to Potiphar, eunuch of Pharaoh, chief of the executioners.
