Genesis 12
1 and Yahweh is saying to Abram:
go for you from your land and from your kindred and from house of your father to
the land, which I shall show you! 2 and I shall make you to great nation, and
bless you and make great your name; and become blessing! 3 and I shall bless
ones blessing of you, and one making light of you I shall curse, and they are
blessed in you all of families of the ground. 4 and Abram is going as which Yahweh
spoke to him; and Lot is going with him; and Abram son of five and seventy years
in to his go forth from Haran. 5 and Abram is taking Sarai, his woman; and Lot,
son of his brother; and all of their goods which they got, and the soul, which
they did in Haran; and they are going forth go land ward Canaan; and they are
entering land ward Canaan. 6 and Abram is passing in land as far as place of Shechem, as far as oak of Moreh;
and the Canaanite then in land. 7 and Yahweh is appearing to Abram and saying:
to your seed I shall give this land; and he is building there altar to Yahweh,
the one appearing to him. 8 and he is shifting from there the mountain ward;
from east to Beth El; and he is pitching his tent Beth El from seaward side,
and the Ai from east; and he is building there altar to Yahweh, and he is
calling in name of Yahweh. 9 and Abram is journeying to go and to journey the
south rim ward.
10 and famine is becoming in
land; and Abram is going down Egypt ward, to sojourn there; that heavy the
famine in land. 11 and it is becoming as which he got near to enter Egypt ward,
and he is saying to Sarai, his woman: behold, please, I know that woman of
lovely appearance you! 12 and it becomes that the Egyptians are seeing you and say:
his woman this; and they kill me; and you they shall keep alive. 13 say,
please, my sister you; so that it shall be good for me in account of you, and my
soul lives in due to you. 14 and it is becoming as to come of Abram Egypt ward,
and the Egyptians are seeing the woman, that she very lovely. 15 and chiefs of
Pharaoh are seeing her, and praising her to Pharaoh; and the woman is being
taken house of Pharaoh. 16 and to Abram he causes good in her sake; and it is
becoming to him flock and herd and donkeys and menservants and maids and female
donkeys and camels. 17 and Yahweh is touching Pharaoh and his household great contagions
on matter of Sarai, woman of Abram. 18 and Pharaoh is calling to Abram and saying:
what this you did to me? To what not you told me that she your woman? 19 to
what you said: my sister she? And I am taking her to me for woman; and now,
behold, take your woman! And go! 20 and Pharaoh is instructing on him mortals,
and they are sending him and his woman, and all which to him.
